ABBE GOSLEE CHEEK

ARTIST STATEMENT
I design functional and non-functional pieces using a wheel, as well as hand building with coils and slabs. I mainly work in porcelain and occasionally use stoneware when building large coil pieces. The simple beauty of the forms and designs found in nature are reflected in my pieces. The forms are enhanced by the use of subtle glazes which are oxidation fired. The creative process and the challenge of making something to share with others are also important to me.
