Growing up my family was always creating one type of craft or another. My grandfather played a key role in teaching me many things, one of which was some basic wood working skills. I have always enjoyed working and building things with my hands.

I started turning wood 1998 as a hobby to construct gifts for family and friends. As I gained confidence and skill, I gravitated to segmented turnings to explore and experiment with different woods, colors and textures. This gives me the opportunity to stretch my imagination and skills, combining small pieces of different types and colors of wood into one masterpiece after another. Experimenting with exterior shapes and designs within each piece has endless possibilities that keeps my mind racing from one project to the next.

All pieces are of my own design with natural wood colors and textures. No dyes, stains or paints are used to create any piece.
