Mary Ann Tipple

Artist Statement

My textile pieces are a celebration of life in the forties. Our parents faced an uncertain future but took the time to enjoy life with friends and family. A lesson we can all use in our daily life. I am intrigued by candid photos of everyday life taken during that era, photos that I find at flea markets and appropriate for my own use. Friends, is a photo of my mother and friends during a beach vacation on Lake Erie in the mid forties.
