Far from the Tree: An Evolutionary View of Contemporary
Woodturning
Exhibition of 28 works by 29 artists, including pioneering artists
in the field, such as Mel Lindquist, Rude Osolnik and Bob Stocksdale,
and contemporary artists, such as William Hunter, Mark Lindquist
and Christian Burchard. Co-curated by Jacques Vesery, leading wood
artist, and Kevin Wallace, independent curator, author and director
of the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts in Ojai, California. Organized
by the Center for furniture Craftsmanship.
Small Wonders: Contemporary Marbles by American Artists
One-of-a-kind glass marbles by artists from across the country,
working in styles ranging from traditional twists and swirls to
unusual imagery and patterning in a wide array of colors.

COLOR: Ten African American Artists
Nearly 40 works in clay, glass, fiber, wood and found materials
by ten emerging and established artists from across the country,
including Nick Cave, Cheryl Riley and Joyce J. Scott. Organized
by the Society for Contemporary Craft, Pittsburgh.
The Ohio Craft Museum receives ongoing funding from the Ohio Arts
Council and the Columbus Foundation. The museum is located at 1665
West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212. Hours are Monday–Friday,
10 A.M.–5 P.M.; Saturday–Sunday, 1–4 P.M., during
