Winterfair
30th Annual Fine Art and Fine Craft Fair
Returns with Holiday Gifts
Made in American Studios
November 28–30, 2008

(Covington, KY)—
Celebrating its 30th year, Winterfair, a juried fair of €ne art and fine craft by approximately 200 artists from across the country, welcomes shoppers to the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington November 28–30. The convention center is just over the Roebling Suspension Bridge from Cincinnati, an easy drive from both sides of the river.

Featuring ceramics, glass, wearable art, jewelry, sculpture, painting and photography, Winterfair is an artists’ market where discerning shoppers will €nd items that fit a range of budgets and still please everyone on their holiday list. Items range in price from as little as $15 to several thousand dollars.

Artists will be selling directly to customers, offering shoppers the opportunity to meet the artists and learn about how the work was made. Don Bodenburg’s fine metal jewelry is elegant and sophisticated, while Debra Gleason creates note cards and stationery for all occasions. Samuel Ruder’s bright, whimsical watercolors enhance the wall of any home, and Joe Bower’s ash-glazed ceramic bowls and pitchers are not only useful but also decorative.

“Holiday shoppers will find unique gifts for family and friends at Winterfair,” commented Betty Talbott, artistic director of Ohio Designer Craftsmen, the organizers of the fair. “And it’s a great opportunity to ‘buy America,’ as all items are handmade in American studios. Browsing the artists’ booths and the gourmet food booths is a fun way to entertain Thanksgiving company after the holiday.”
